7 secrets success strategy
You didn’t really think that a “7 secrets success strategy” really exists, did you?
If you did then go, click away. This post isn’t for you.
You can go and learn how to vibrate so you can place your X-mas order with the big magic genie that lives in the sky. Because that really works, right?
Didn’t think so.
I don’t know about any “secrets” that will take an average slob and magically make them successful. Because none exist.
But you probably came here for some success advice. So Uncle Mike will deliver. And since the post is labeled as “7 Secrets”, I’ll give you seven bits of success advice, Mike Forge style.
7 secrets Success Strategy 1
Just get started. The first step that I recommend to building a successful business online is to start your own blog. It’s not that difficult to do. I’ve even set up a system where all you have to do is click my affiliate link to buy your hosting and you get:
- A free domain name
- WordPress and other useful plugins preloaded for you
- A free copy of the Blogging as a Business eBook
- Other goodies that I won’t mention just yet
I know most of you who read this far will roll your eyes thinking, “oh, he just wants our money”.
You’re partially right, my blog is a business. But I also want you to be successful. That’s why I made it so easy for you to start your blog.
But most of you won’t. Instead you’ll go back to the google and continue to search for the one, or seven, or three hundred and sixty-eight, secrets that will help you find success – as long as you don’t have to actually DO ANYTHING!
You will never find success until you get started.
Once you do, you’ll need tip number two.
Secret Success Strategy 2
The second of the 7 Secrets Success Strategy is to work consistently. Try to post to your blog at least once per week. You can do so on a set schedule, every Monday for example, or not. It doesn’t really matter.
As long as you have content going up there fairly regularly Google will view your site as being “alive”.
And, your readers will keep coming back.
That is, they’ll come back as long as you are following “secret” number 3
Secret Success Strategy 3
Number three, take some pride in your work. Learn how to make your blog look clean and neat. Don’t get too carried away with too much color and dazzle. Just try to make it look good so your visitors don’t have a difficult time reading your words.
And, about those words.
Be sure to edit. Check your grammar and spelling. I know the occasional mistake makes its way through. When you find one, or when your visitors let you know about a mistake, don’t get all pissy about it.
Just thank them for pointing it out, and then go fix it.
But spelling, grammar, and an easy to read blog isn’t enough.
You’ll have to follow 7 Secret Success Strategy # 4.
Secret Success Strategy 4
Don’t get stuck in perfectionism. It’s ok to publish a post that isn’t perfect. You can always go back and edit later.
This doesn’t mean you should post off the top of your head and just throw it up there.
You should always do at least one round of editing. Read it out loud and make sure it doesn’t sound too clunky. Check for spelling and grammar errors. Be sure to sprinkle some transitive sentences to make it flow a little smoother. Remember that your visitors are people, they’re not computers.
But don’t wait until it’s perfect.
It probably never will be.
7 Secrets Success Strategy 5
Secret success strategy number 5 is to continue learning. Successful people are lifelong learners. They are big readers. They like to understand things and have developed a sense of curiosity.
Keep learning, it pays huge dividends down the road.
Secret Success Strategy 6
The next secret to success is to manage your time. Successful people don’t waste time. They understand that their time is limited and they try to use as much of it constructively as possible.
You should begin scheduling your day in advance. Block out your time and use it to take small steps toward your goal.
If you’re going to be blogging use the Pomodoro timer to break up your writing time so you don’t burn out.
Schedule everything you can think of, break the rest of your day down into 15 minute blocks.
10 am – make salad for today’s lunch
10:15 am – wipe down living room tables and computer desk
10:30 am – read for 15 minutes
11:00 am – begin first hour of Pomodoro writing. (two Pomodoros and one 10-minute break)
Break down your day like this you will discover that you can accomplish much more than you think you can.
You’ll also use your time more wisely because nobody schedules time wasting activity.
If you truly want success you need to install this practice into your daily routine.
Secret Success Strategy 7
The final success strategy, which could have been number one is to believe in success.
No matter where you are in life, you simply have to believe that you can become successful.
Belief is the wind that fills the sails of that ship that you have been waiting for.
You ship hasn’t come in yet because you probably have no true belief in success.
This isn’t saying that simply believing in success translates into luck. I’m not talking about luck at all. What this means is that when you develop an honest belief that you can become successful you will be spurred into action.
It is only action that yields results.
Belief without action is like a ship without sails. It might feel nice, but you have no control over your motion. You will be left to the whims of the tides (other people’s intentions).
A powerful belief in yourself and your ability to grow and achieve is like a shield against the will of others. You will be so focused and single minded that nobody will be able to coax you from your path to achievement.
Belief is the cornerstone of success. When you believe, you will act; when you act, you will achieve.
It really is that simple.
You can see that there really are no secrets.
Success is about adopting attitudes, habits, and mindset.
It’s about overcoming your fears, making a commitment, and taking action.
Anybody telling you that there are shortcuts you can take it taking you for a ride.
Success takes time, effort, and consistency.
This basic understanding is what separates the successful from the unsuccessful.
There is no secret.
